How We See the Hydrogen Economy

Your hybrid hydrogen fuel cell car will be refueled at a hydrogen filling station. The car will run silently with the only emission being water.

Utility power lines will no longer line the streets, they will have been replaced with an underground network of liquid hydrogen pipelines that contain a central superconductor.

Your home will be equipped with smart appliances that operate per some programmed schedule based upon comfort and hourly pricing of hydrogen and electricity. Solar panels on your roof or the backyard windmill (if appropriate) will serve to reduce your net energy bill each month. Your only fuels will be hydrogen and electricity from the same carrier.

Organic wastes will become valuable and will be routed to gasification and pyrolysys plants that turn all waste back into energy with zero emissions.

When the power level gets low on your cell phone, laptop or iPod, it will require an exchange of its miniature hydrogen cylinder.

Global Warming as a result of hydrocarbon emissions will no longer be an issue.
